What type of therapist provides counselling at W Experience?

 

Our team has Registered Social Workers who have received specialized training in mental health and wellness and currently work in acute medicine and psychiatry hospital settings. Registered Social Workers are governed by the OCSWSSW (Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers).

 

What services are offered?

Does W Experience provide 24/7 Crisis Support?

No. Please call 911 or attend your nearest emergency department if you are experiencing a crisis. 

 

How many counselling sessions do I need?

 

The recommended number of sessions depends on the individual and concern. Some individuals book ongoing sessions. Other individuals may work with a therapist over a series of weeks/ months to address a specific concern.

 

How much does counselling cost?

Can you provide a diagnosis?

 

No. Only medical doctors and registered psychologists can make a diagnosis.

 

Are services covered by OHIP?

 

No. Services from W Experience Counselling and Wellness Services are not covered by OHIP but may be covered by your extended benefits or private insurance. 

 

Do you have direct billing? 

 

W Experience Counselling and Wellness Services does not provide direct billing for third parties. A receipt will be emailed to you once full payment is received, which can be submitted to your benefits/ insurance provider.

 

What is the cancellation policy? 

 

If an appointment needs to be cancelled, this must be done at least 24 hours before the scheduled time otherwise, 50% of the cost of the session will be charged.

What is the "no show" policy? 

 

If a client does not attend their appointment for the scheduled time, 50% of the cost of the session will be charged.

 

How do I reschedule an appointment?

 

To reschedule an appointment, go to the appointment booking site of W Experience Counselling and Wellness Services and log into your account at least 24 hours before your appointment. Next, cancel your existing appointment then book another appointment using the "Book an Appointment" tab in your browser.

 

Do you offer Refunds?

All W Experience Counselling and Wellness Services are non-refundable.
